Highlighting Books and Authors

Published on February 1, 2008

This is the place for personal commentary of my own books, books I have read and recommend, or books I have been asked to review by outside sources. I do not recommend any material here that does not calibrate over 200. Many books in my library and highlighted calibrate as high as the 900’s. There is something for every spiritual aspirant from beginner to advanced and it is noted…easy to difficult according to terminology/understanding, as well as the level of spiritual knowledge.

Questioning what is and isn’t right

Published on February 8, 2008

I recently heard a high profile star speaking about children and starvation in this country. She used the words, “This just isn’t right.” Is she correct in her belief that things aren’t right?

At a certain level of consciousness, you witness the world as imperfect. In Truth the world is perfect as it is. If God wanted the world perfect, it would be so. People project their ideologies of what the world should look and be like. This is due to the ego presenting itself as God. How the world is, is a presentation of the emergence of the propensities of creation/evolution. In other words it is what it is, without commentary.

The higher the level of consciousness, the higher the need to be of service in some way. This is a natural aspect of love and unconditional love. Although at the highest levels you see that your beingness alone lifts the collective, wanting to serve is certainly appropriate. One must be discerning however, not to allow the ego to press its opinions on others along the way, or get caught up in the drama of those you are helping. Selfless service means service for its own sake. Then you surrender it to God.

Blessings,
Mys

Question about political beliefs and causes

Published on February 4, 2008

Is supporting a cause in my Highest Good? Does it really matter who wins in a political election?

An apologist (supporter) shares the collective karma and responsibility (of the field it is aligning with) by becoming a part of that field. Discernment is wisdom regarding what it is you are supporting and your intentions. Any effort to influence another is self-serving. It is the ego feeling omnipotent and comes with karmic consequences.

You may be of service to others while keeping in mind you are influencing their karmic inheritance. (Testing regarding what is in the highest good is always recommended.)

Politics and politicizing calibrates below the level of Truth. This is because political beliefs, as all beliefs, are false and actually entice you to become over-involved in the drama. The act of “izing” anything takes you away from Divinity. God is not interested in who wins an election. Politicians however may calibrate quite high. As individuals, they may be assessed overall through Consciousness Research for personal decision-making.

Blessings,
Mys

Calibrations

Published on

Question:

My calibrations aren’t the same as Dr. Hawkins on the same things. Does this mean his calibrations are incorrect or are mine?

Comment:

Commitment to Consciousness Research entails quite a bit of pre-existing conditions, such as following guidelines and practicing, in order to receive accurate answers. Even then, conditions, proclivities, timing, how you hold the subject in mind, and many other circumstances have the ability to change outcomes. Testing is not an exact physical science, as we understand the corporeal sciences. Trust is an issue when considering Dr. Hawkins calibrations, since the doctor is presently the highest calibrating teacher of enlightenment on the planet. Dr. Hawkins has often iterated the former issues may indeed change calibrations. The actual precise number however, is not as essential as whether or not something calibrates as (Absolute)Truth or not Truth. It may be wiser to practice receiving generalized calibrations, such as whether something is over or between certain levels, instead of trying to confirm an exact number. It is for the highest good to keep in mind this is the path to God and enlightenment and not just a numbers game.

Weekly Kabbalah Tune Up-Yehuda Berg 2/3/08-2/9/08

Published on

One important thing to remember is that desire is what draws us together. Desire for world peace, desire for love, desire for pizza, desire for new shoes. No matter how profound or trivial, human desires are our common link. And everyone desires happiness. Yet we often mistake someone else’s search for happiness as being “anti-me.”

How often, for example, have you thought a friend, a teacher, or a relative was mad at you because they’d been giving you less attention than usual, only to discover they’d had a personal tragedy in their lives - perhaps a death, an illness, or a family quarrel - that was simply making them withdraw for a bit? Not just from you, but from everyone, until they felt settled again.

I once knew a young woman called Anna [not her real name] who ran into the sister of her first great love, Matt [not his real name.] The two women chatted for a while, and then Anna gave her number to Matt’s sister, who said she would happily pass it along. Anna was incredibly excited at the prospect of hearing from Matt. He had meant a lot to her both during their relationship and over a number of years, but they had lost touch.

Weeks passed, and then several months. No call. Anna took it personally. “I must not have mattered as much to him as he did to me,” she thought. “If he truly had feelings for me, then he would have called me by now.” Anna’s thoughts became worse and worse until finally she became quite bummed out about the whole thing.

Several months after that, Matt called. He and Anna had a great talk, at the end of which he apologized for not having called her sooner. “I’ve had a horrible skin disease,” he confided in her. “And I wanted it to clear up before seeing you.”

When we take the actions of other people personally, this is our ego speaking, telling us that we are the center of the universe - that everything that happens in our lives revolves around us. Our ego is the curtain separating us from other people’s true feelings and thoughts.

Our struggle is to not take everything personally. And to give with our whole heart, even if our judgment is we are not getting enough in return. When we do our part, the energy comes back to us - always. If not from the receiver, than from someone else. Positive seeds produce positive fruits. This is an immutable law.

And remember, sharing is not only a physical thing. Making room in your heart for others and acknowledging that you are not the only person in the world who wants to be fulfilled, can be the best gift to give to your loved ones - and to yourself.

All the best,

Yehuda

Question:

I am new to Dr. Hawkins teachings. It’s a little overwhelming and I have so many questions, I don’t know where to begin.

Comment:

It’s a lot to digest when you discover Dr. Hawkins’ teachings. There’s a lot of ground to cover. A suggestion would be to read each book by Dr. Hawkins, noting questions as you go and writing them down. Seeing his lectures is a very important step in understanding his work. Take it slow. You’re on the path and that’s what counts.

Many of my writings, commentary, and books are based on complementing Dr. Hawkins work. For complete self-testing procedures (see on this site Devotional Nonduality, Absolute Truth,) and “There Are No Secrets,” (my second book in The Enlightenment Series.

The Simple Things

Published on February 2, 2008

The simplest things in life are often the most powerful. The golden rule may be the one single moral and ethical way of seeing and treating others. You violate the rule by not treating others the way you would expect to be treated in the exact situation. You must give kindness to receive kindness, for example and practice consistency in your actions.

What mother, grandmother, or a teacher taught you has merit also. – Wear a hat and button up your neck when it’s cold outside. Be polite to elders as well as your peers. Clean up after yourself. Slow down or you may hurt yourself! Don’t take anything which isn’t yours. Allow others to go first. Wash your hands. Say please and thank you. Be respectful at all times. Be happy for others good fortune. Try again. Be faithful to your ideals. Be fair. Tell the truth. Don’t be gullible; not everyone has your best interests at heart. Don’t make fun of others because that could be you. Have faith in God.

These simple things are often deemed old fashioned or are absent in this world today. That may just explain everything.
